In Stock Means in Stock

When Protog says a product is in stock, we mean it.

Our stock levels are live and connected to our warehouse inventory. That means the availability shown on our website reflects what is actually available, incoming, or on backorder.

As the Australian distributor for many of the brands we sell, Protog imports products directly from our suppliers and supplies retailers across the country. When you order from us, you are buying close to the source — with accurate stock information, local support, and direct access to incoming shipments.

Why our stock information is different

Many retailers rely on supplier feeds or third-party availability estimates. At Protog, we manage the stock directly.

We import products into Australia, receive them into our warehouse, and distribute them to retailers nationwide.

This gives us a clear view of what is:

physically in our warehouse
already on its way to us
available to reserve before arrival
yet to be ordered from the supplier

So when you check a product page, you are seeing practical availability information from the distributor, not a vague estimate.

What our stock statuses mean

In Stock

If a product is marked In Stock, it is currently available in our warehouse and ready to be picked, packed, and shipped.

This means the item is physically available from us at the time shown on the website.

Reserve

If a product is marked Reserve, it means stock is already on its way to our warehouse.

You can place your order now, and the item will be reserved for you from the incoming shipment. This is useful for popular products, new releases, or items that may sell through quickly once they arrive.

Backorder

If a product is marked Backorder, it means we do not currently have the item in our warehouse and it has not yet been ordered in.

You can still place a backorder, and we will arrange supply with the relevant supplier. Delivery timeframes can vary depending on supplier availability, production schedules, and international shipping.

Buying from the source

Because Protog is the distributor for many of the products we sell, we have direct relationships with the brands and suppliers behind them.

This means customers can benefit from accurate Australian stock information, access to incoming shipments, local product knowledge, direct support from the distributor, genuine products sourced through official channels, and faster updates on availability and supply timelines.
