The Varavon Armor units give you a multitude of configurations with your gear to capture the imagery how you feel it should be shot. Whether you are shooting stills or videos the Armor gives you the ability for multiple applications on-location or in the studio beginning with the Cheese Plate. The Cheese Plate has many holes giving you an abundance of options when mounting your gear to the Armor. The Cheese plate has drilled holes and sliders matching both 3/8 and 1/4 inch holes.
Three distinctive parts to every Armor setup is the Hand Grip made from Silicone, and the L Clamp and Body made from Aluminium. The total Armor rig system weighs in at 730grams.
The block plate is where your camera will attach to the Armor and here it can be mounted as a fixed or free position. Once attached the block itself locks into position but can be adjusted as well forward and backwards a couple of inches. There are a multitude of options and configurations where you can setup each of your accessories to capture a wide range of shots on-location or in the studio. Using the Armor, you can add on parts such as an External Microphone, External LCD Monitor, Magic Arm, Sling Follow Focus, ENG Hand Grip or Hand Grip.
